It is the ultimate compliment when a client invites you back to work on a second home. having worked with this wonderful family on their primary residence in New York, I was thrilled when they reached out to help design their vacation getaway at The Club at Ibis in West Palm Beach. They wanted a space that felt distinctly different from their NY home—something bright, airy, and embracing of the Florida lifestyle.
The focal point of the open-concept living area is the custom kitchen. Rather than a standard opaque paint, we chose a unique blue stain for the cabinetry. This technique adds incredible depth and texture, allowing the natural wood grain to show through and catching the light beautifully from the large sliding doors. Paired with satin brass and chrome hardware and oversized globe pendants, the look is coastal yet sophisticated.
We carried that breezy aesthetic into the living room with an abstract teal rug and organic textures that connect the indoors to the pool area. The master bath was reimagined as a spa retreat, featuring a floating wood vanity, a glass-enclosed shower with a pebble floor, and a sleek soaking tub.
